We are very proud of our terrific staff.
Several have been with us for a long time. Their experience and
caring speak for themselves!
Susan Hao is our terrific school
Director. She has been at Early Learning Academy since 1985. Susan
received her B.A. in Social Science from Assumption Convent in the
Philippines and earned Early Childhood Education teaching and
director units from San Francisco State University and the College
of San Mateo. She holds a Child Development Program Director Permit
and is also an Early Childhood Education Professional Growth
Advisor. Susan loves to travel with her family and has traveled to
Europe, Canada, Mexico, and several Asian countries.
Aike Wong teaches our two-year-old toddler class. She has been at
Early Learning Academy since 1995. Aike received her B.S. in Physics
from the Arts & Science University in Burma and later earned an
Early Childhood Education from City College of San Francisco. She
has taught elementary and high school for over 6 years and has 17
years of experience in child development. Aike loves working with
the young children. She is very creative, friendly, and has a great
sense of humor. In her spare time, Aike does flower arranging,
gardening, and cooking.
Menchy Marpuri teaches our
three-year-old
class. She has been with Early Learning Academy since 2007.
Menchy earned her Early
Childhood Education from City College of San Francisco and a
Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from La Consolacion
College in the Philippines. Menchy is very patient and calm
and delights in making sure that the children have a solid academic
and social base. In
her spare time, she likes to cook.
Zoila Martinez teaches our four-year-old
pre-Kindergarten class. She has been at Early Learning Academy since
2001. Zoila earned her Early Childhood Education teaching units from
San Francisco State University and now has 18 years of
experience in child development. Zoila believes that learning and
fun go hand in hand. She is a very creative person, and strives for
creativity in the classroom, while making sure that the children are
excellently prepared for Kindergarten. In her spare time, she likes to listen
to music, take pictures, and read.
Gloria Cascio has also been with us as a
teacher aide since 1985 and has over
30 years of experience working with children. She is multi-talented
and steps in wherever she is needed, from fixing clogged sinks to
playing board games with the children. Gloria enjoys taking care of
cats and loves to go on cruises (Alaska and Hawaii)!
